It was a night for celebration as our own Jason Wiggins was named a Lee County High School Distinguished Alumni.
The purpose of the program is to recognize outstanding alumni who have maintained a high standard of excellence and distinguished themselves through their work, personal accomplishments, or the lives of others. These individuals exemplify the ideals of the Lee County School System and the community it serves and serve as role models for current and future Lee County High School students. The seven Distinguished Alumni are selected each year and honored during the homecoming festivities.
Jason was joined by family, friends, and the CE Family to celebrate his accomplishments.
During his time at Lee County High School, Mr. Wiggins was known as a student-athlete and a friend to all. He was a starter on the varsity baseball and football teams, playing various positions. After graduating in 1995, Mr. Wiggins decided to forgo college to stay in Lee County and pursue farming. Mr. Wiggins’s work ethic was quickly shaped as he took on different obligations. His nine years of farming taught him how to manage a business. After a second career of auctioning farmland, he moved into investment opportunities with his lifelong friend resulting in Concrete Enterprise in 2015. Mr. Wiggins’s entrepreneurial spirit continued to grow through partnerships with other successful local businesses, which included South Georgia Sand, Legacy C+C, and Septic Solutions Plumbing.
The business also continued growing internally through CE Construction, CE Trucking, CE Dirt, Rock and Sand, Industrial Manufacturing, and most currently, The Scrap Yard, formally known as Southeastern Aluminum and Recycling. With all the growth, the CE Family was born and is currently employing over 320 individuals in the South Georgia region.
